Monticello, the home of Thomas Jefferson. This shot is from the West Lawn. Built in 1772, Jefferson designed every part of Monticello and the property taking around 40 years to do so. Monticello is located on a mountain top in the town of Charlottesville, Virginia.
What a great place to experience history! I highly recommend everyone to visit this magnificent place.
This is Mabry Mill in Virginia right off the Blue Ridge Parkway. This watermill is so pretty! There’s a trail around the mill with historical exhibits (sawmill and blacksmith shop also) about life in rural Virginia. Great place to spend some time off the parkway. Built by Edwin Boston Mabry and operational by 1905.
